Who may apply to Ashland Montessori School?

Students must be three years of age and toilet trained by the first day of school to enter at the beginning of the school year. In order to gain maximum benefit from this unique education, children should be enrolled for three years.

Each child who is five years of age on or before September 30 is be eligible to enroll in kindergarten.

What happens if my child is accepted to Ashland Montessori School?

Each child attending the Montessori School must be examined by a licensed physician/nurse practitioner within thirty (30) days of the time of admission, and every thirteen (13) months thereafter. There must be on file at the school, a Medical Statement signed by the physician/nurse practitioner certifying that the child is free from communicable disease; and has had all four (4) required immunizations (HIB vaccine is required). A child is considered to be enrolled at the school only after the registration fee has been received, the Administrator confirms the availability of space, and the required paperwork is received. This includes basic enrollment and health information. Any change to this information must be communicated to the office immediately so current information is on file. This is for the safety of your child.

An admission interview will be conducted with the parents and the child. A tour of the school will be given to new parents of the school. An Open House for parents and child will be held at a later date.
