New School Year!

” I will be a friend today, I will be kind in every way, to every person big or small, I will be a friend to all.”
We are off to a great start this year! Practical Life and Art areas are very busy! We are doing lots of alphabet puzzles and matching works in Language. In the Sensorial area, new works are being demonstrated almost daily! In the Geography area, we’ve sorted vehicles that move on the land, in the air or in the water. The Science shelves held works that classified animals that move in the air, in the water and on the earth. Next on the agenda in Science is “parts of an apple.” Math works are having their counters changed – from fish and star fish to acorns & apples. Many new students are working on shape books. They will learn ten shapes – square, rectangle, trapezoid, pentagon, triangle, circle, ellipse, oval, quatrafoil and curvilinear triangle! Three geometric solids have been introduced – cone, cube and sphere! Your student is looking for these shapes in their homes! On the Peace shelf a book about peace has been read, there are doves to do rubbings, to stamp and to share with a friend. Peace is a feeling in your heart.
