Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

We talked about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. this past week.  We discussed some of his ideas – nonviolence, and having the same rules for everyone.  The students were divided by brown hair and light (colored) hair.  We pretended that light – haired children could go to the playground and brown-haired children could not (no one went outdoors.) We pretended that only children with brown hair could drink from our drinking fountain.   The students said all children at our school should have the same rules! Hope you had a nice MLK day!
